December 2018

We're all pretty stoked about Samsung's upcoming Galaxy S10, it's coming out in early 2019 ,and this is why...

The screen on that S10 is likely gonna be using Samsung's infinity O screen it's gonna be a beautiful screen, notchless pretty much bezeless, and it's gonna rock the world. instead of a notch or a bezel, we're looking at a circular punch out, for the camera hole so the home screen the regular UI if you're watching videos everything's gonna look so much cleaner with such small bezels, and a punched out camera hole, instead of a notch. now it isn't the first screen with a punched out hole, Samsung's a8 has it and a few other Chinese phones have had holes in their screens.
Samsung A8
But the Galaxy S10 is the first phone that's gonna have a punch out hole on an OLED screen, so Samsung is using their laser hole punching tech to cut holes on AMOLED displays, and that stuff looks awesome all the other displays that are having holes in their screens are using LCD panels and, we all know AMOLED is king when it comes to displays.
The processor on the s10 is also going to be some fast stuff, it's going to be this Snapdragon 8150 or the Exynos 9820 depending on where you get it from ,and both of those are gonna be faster than the previous generation, but truthfully it's not like we need faster phones per se right we want a better experience it's just that newer phones invariably have faster processors in them.
Another change that's happening on the S10 is the fingerprint sensor, slower  on the OnePlus 6T, that was the first thing that myself and a lot of other reviewers noticed is that you put your finger on it ,compared to a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor it's just invariably slower ,a little bit slower but it is noticeable. with ultrasonic technology that supposed to a little bit faster, and significantly more accurate.
the S10 will now allow you to unlock your phone with an in display ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, we've seen that tech before right well the idea of an in display fingerprint sensor is not new, but most of the phones out there are using an optical sensor, you put your thumb on the screen it shines a light illuminates your thumb and it'll read that fingerprint, on the S10 it's going to use an ultrasonic sound wave to map a 3D image of your thumbprint as you get better accuracy and better speed, and that's one of the issues that we've seen with fingerprint sensors that are built into the display. they tend to be a little bit
The UI on the S10 would be completely overhauled, the S9  been running Samsung experience was not that good. most people liked it but most people find a pretty bloated , they have betas of this  already, it's much cleaner and simpler interface though. whole idea is to make the UI less cluttered and less bloated they also have some features that make it easier to use it with one hand,  a lot of the interactable elements are pushed down to the lower part of the screens you don't have to reach as far and stuff. it's a cool idea; but we'll see how Samsung implements that in the future.

There's a couple cool rumors of a 5GB model with 12 GIGS of RAM and a terabyte of storage. that sounds pretty bonkers if it's real, but the big question that remains unanswered is whether or not the S10 will have a headphone jack, because the whole galaxy line like the note the S9 the S9 plus, then that's it like all the major flagships have removed the headphone jack, and these got the last ones left.

  • DESIGN

[pslide] [item url="https://amzn.to/2PmaA1S" src="https://i.imgur.com/8U0MnsS.png" title="Hisense H9E Plus"][/item] [item url="https://amzn.to/2PmaA1S" src="https://i.imgur.com/9ZcXP3C.png" title="Hisense H9E Plus"][/item] [item url="https://amzn.to/2PmaA1S" src="https://i.imgur.com/pSFBMfH.png" title="Hisense H9E Plus"][/item] [item url="Image_Link_URL" src="https://i.imgur.com/WC8Lm51.png" title="Hisense H9E Plus"][/item] [/pslide]

https://amzn.to/2PmaA1S   First let's start off with the design. immediately it looks similar to the LG G 6 series, with the picture on glass, it looks unbelievably thin from the sides, and here's a dime just for reference.

towards the bottom it does get thick obviously because that is where all the internals are, and built-in speakers which are facing the back .that's actually the main reason why the TV has such thin bezels all around in the first place. if they did put the speakers on the bottom, the TV would have a thic.k chin aesthetically the TV isn't bad looking ,very modern like with even bezels and the minimalistic base design.
https://amzn.to/2PmaA1S
actually they do have two more speakers on the bottom facing down ,and that's one of the reasons why the TV is able to produce such great sound ,while sticking with smaller bezels.
the TV can be mounted via VESA mount however you have to pick one up separately, which isn't that bad considering you can buy one for as low as 16 dollars.

  •  AUDIO

Now these speakers get insanely loud, at 50 percent it's loud enough to fill the entire room, but I was surprised to find out even at a hundred percent the sound doesn't get distorted, that's very impressive. there isn't that much emphasis on the bass however but the highs are nice and clear .if you're someone who prefers more bass then I strongly recommend picking up a sound bar or looking for a different TV.

  •  PICTURE QUALITY

[pslide] [item url="https://amzn.to/2PmaA1S" src="https://i.imgur.com/mTRa848.png" title="Hisense H9E Plus-PICTURE QUALITY"][/item] [item url="https://amzn.to/2PmaA1S" src="https://i.imgur.com/KzaCZZf.png" title="Hisense H9E Plus-PICTURE QUALITY"][/item] [item url="https://amzn.to/2PmaA1S" src="https://i.imgur.com/1PYihGO.png" title="Hisense H9E Plus-PICTURE QUALITY"][/item] [/pslide]

Now the TV is using Ultra LED technology or ULED for short, and it's basically a fancy way of saying that it has really high contrast, a wide color gamut ,and smooth motion .overall the picture quality and viewing angles are great, I wouldn't say it's the best quality out there I mean it doesn't come close to OLED panels, but for the price is definitely one of the best you can get. I mean it is 2018 at this point is really hard to make a TV with bad picture quality. so the TV has a native 120 Hertz refresh rate and it supports both HDR 10 and Dolby vision.

  • GAMING

    [pslide] [item url="https://amzn.to/2PmaA1S" src="https://i.imgur.com/73OUyQE.png" title="Hisense H9E Plus-GAMING"][/item] [item url="https://amzn.to/2PmaA1S" src="https://i.imgur.com/JjlCzzK.png" title="Hisense H9E Plus-GAMING"][/item] [item url="https://amzn.to/2PmaA1S" src="https://i.imgur.com/6VsONGZ.png" title="Hisense H9E Plus-GAMING"][/item] [/pslide]

https://amzn.to/2PmaA1S
Speaking of gaming ,I had a blast playing spider-man on my ps4 Pro, the difference between HDR is night and day .oddly enough there is actually less contrast through HDR ,but it actually makes the game look a lot better. the shadows and highlights are more prominent, in the overall picture looks brighter and well balanced .with HDR off you get more contrast, there's actually a lot of darker areas present ,especially when you're swinging across the buildings underneath the Sun, you can see some areas darken and begin to see less details. the dynamic range is way better with HDR enabled.

  •  PORTS

  • [pslide] [item url="https://amzn.to/2PmaA1S" src="https://i.imgur.com/7SB5qG2.png" title="Hisense H9E Plus-PORTS"][/item] [item url="https://amzn.to/2PmaA1S" src="https://i.imgur.com/4R7ZiQW.png" title="Hisense H9E Plus-PORTS"][/item] [/pslide]

In terms of ports, the TV does have a single 4k at 30 Hertz HDMI port ,next to the ethernet and
audio jacks .on the other side you'll find two USB ports, one of them is USB 3 and the other is USB 2, you'll also find another 4k at 30 Hertz HDMI and two additional 4k at 60 Hertz HDMI slots. the response time when gaming is really low you're getting less than 35 milliseconds which is great considering you're gaming in 4k with HDR on. I don't even notice any delay or lag while playing spider-man.
If you're a casual gamer and you're playing RPG adventure ,or even racing games then this TV is great for that, however if you start playing shooter games like black OPS or FORTNITE ...any game that involves timing and responsiveness that's when you'll start to notice the latency on the TV and fortunately.

    •  THE REMOTE

    [pslide] [item url="Image_Link_URL" src="https://i.imgur.com/tfH6eY9.png" title="Hisense H9E Plus-THE REMOTE"][/item] [item url="Image_Link_URL" src="https://i.imgur.com/LZoRiOY.png" title="Hisense H9E Plus-THE REMOTE"][/item] [/pslide]

The remote may be a hit or miss for some people ,first of all they made it really small and they removed a lot of buttons from it to make it very minimalistic .the numpad is replaced by a shortcut that brings it up on the TV and they even added shortcuts to all the popular streaming apps, you got Netflix YouTube sling and even a dedicated Google Play shortcut as well .
The remote has a built-in microphone and it's crazy how accurate it is .you can pretty much tell it to do anything you want. considering how accurate the voice command is and you can pretty much use that to do most of the work anyways.

    •  CONCLUSION

When you are shopping around for a TV you need to look up for a few things :
-a TV that has great picture quality.
    -viewing angles.
    -great sounding speakers.
    -low latency for console gaming.
-UI that's not only snappy, but offers a lot of apps.
The intuitive remote with the voice control is a nice plus and the price of the TV makes it very appealing to a lot of people who are on tight budgets. I definitely think that Hisense checked a lot of boxes when it comes to the H9E Plus.
